ABOUT ME

I’m Laura.

I’m an ontological coach and social educator. For more than eighteen years, I have worked with people, teams and projects in a wide range of social, humanitarian, cultural and organisational contexts.

I studied Social Education because I wanted to work with people, particularly in contexts of vulnerability. At the Red Cross, I worked with people experiencing homelessness and, at Fundació CEL, with children, adolescents and families. It was there that I began to understand the importance of creating spaces built on trust, listening and respect, and of seeing each person beyond the situation they are experiencing.

Then came the humanitarian sector, I lived and worked in Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan, Angola, Venezuela and Honduras, working alongside and supporting teams in very different contexts. I have also supported projects and teams in Ukraine, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Yemen.

Moving between countries, cultures and different ways of understanding the world has deeply shaped the way I work. It has taught me to listen before interpreting, not to take things for granted and to look beyond what is immediately visible. It has also shown me how relationships, context and team dynamics can completely change the way we experience a situation.

Since 2019, I have been Development Director at Casa R.A.R.O. in Barcelona, a contemporary art space where I work with artists from different countries and backgrounds. Accompanying creative processes has allowed me to continue exploring what happens when we give ourselves space to think, experiment, make mistakes and look at things from a different perspective.

I speak Catalan, Spanish, English, French and Arabic. This professional and personal experience across multicultural contexts is also part of the way I accompany people: with curiosity, attentive listening and an awareness of each person’s and team’s context.
